Recapping Bang Energy’s second annual back-to-school donation
A new school year has officially begun, which calls for new school supplies. As students spent their remaining days of summer mapping out their bus routes, parents were left hunting down items on a long shopping list. But no matter how many back-to-school sales there are, there simply aren’t enough to help everyone.
Unfortunately, many families are struggling to support their children with the right resources. No one should have to nickel-and-dime their way to the checkout counter for school supplies, which is why Bang Energy decided to step in and help a local middle school in need.
Our Largest School Donation Yet
Based in South Florida, Bang Energy is committed to helping public schools within the community. Every year, our team selects an under-resourced school in the area as a donation recipient.
In 2021, we donated more than 300 backpacks and 68 teacher crossbody backpacks to the students and faculty of Miami-based Liberty Elementary. This year, we built off that contribution with our largest donation to date at Lake Stevens Middle School.
What We Donated
Last month, we kicked off our second annual back-to-school donation with a bang. With a mission of preparing students and teachers for a successful academic year, we were able to pick up right where we left off with Liberty Elementary the year before.
Altogether, our team donated a total of 420 backpacks filled with school supplies and Bang Energy products. Additionally, we collected essential classroom items for 60 staff members at Lake Stevens.
Supporting Students, Teachers, and Parents Alike
In early August, we arranged a time to deliver the backpacks and supplies before the start of the semester. Our team distributed donations weeks before the new school year so that teachers had everything they needed before the first day.
When asked about the impact of the donation, Debrall Bradshaw lit up with excitement, exclaiming:
“This donation will help our school bring in students and bring back community involvement.”
As a community involvement specialist for Lake Stevens Middle School, Bradshaw helps foster the culture for faculty, students, and parents to thrive in. She went on to explain:
“[The donation] will benefit students and parents, because it will help set up families with school supplies, backpacks, and uniforms that are otherwise difficult to afford. “
No student’s education should be hindered by a lack of resources. We know that shopping for school supplies can be overwhelming, but it is small contributions like this one that create a lasting imprint. Bang Energy commits to helping alleviate the burden for families and educators as they focus on executing a successful school year.
